I am looking for a solution for the following situation:
A big company is running a web based intranet solution with a lot of custom development.
When employees want to access the intranet, they type their Windows Credentials to log in.
50% of the Users use Safari/MAC, 50% use Internet Explorer 11.
They want to display Document Libraries from a SharePoint Site (SharePoint 2016 onprem) in their intranet solution via iframe. If the user logged in to SharePoint in the same browser session and then logs in to the intranet, the iframe shows correctly. If they did not log in to SharePoint before, the iframe throws an error. So I guess this has to do something with the authentication. We would need some solution that allows us to programmatically log in to SharePoint with the users windows credentials when the intranet solution is starting. I tried to google this for hours, but did not find any solution or even a better term to continue my search.
Any hints or keywords for my google search are highly appreciated.
