We have a requirement to develop a Portal facing intranet as well as internet. Not all users logging in from internet have AD accounts. So we will have to implement mixed or multi authentication mode. Further for intranet users we want to ensure they don't
need to sign in and get single sign-on.
So, my question is - If we extend web application, for users accessing from different zones, is that acceptable solution. Are there any recommendations around any why to or why not to use "Extend Web Application" - any inputs on best practice
in this regard will be helpful.
