Hi all.
I have a couple of question regarding the search driven webparts to display content.
I just first want to mention that I'm a techie and my dev skills are slim to none.
I'm currently migrating our current MOSS2007 intranet portal to SP 2013 and with that I wanted to enrich are current portals startpage.
I have looked at the sweet new search driven webpart that seems to do what i want.
What i want to do is basicly add a couple of Search driven wp's to the startpage to show recently changed content from other subsites(departments).
I have managed to get it to show the information but it is not very nicely presented.
I came across the "Recommended sites you may want to visit" under the MySite which seems to be a search driven webpart and is nicely presented with a title, a underlying border and then the content itself.
Ok, so here goes my questions.
I would like to have an appearance of my webparts according to the Recommended Sites.." webpart above.
Thus this webpart itself doesn't seem to be available(probably a customized one that isn't available)
So what needs to be done if i...
1. Want to edit the webparts title(font, size etc.)
2. Want to add a underlying border
3. Remove the default Icon that is presented with the search driven webpart.
4. Adjust the spacing between the posts(left,right,top,bottom)
5. Adjust the lines and lenght shown for the post "body".
Could this be achieved by copying/editing(e.g exporting) the current search driven webpart and perhaps adjusting any of the masterpages *.css files?
Or is it necessary to build one from scratch?
In other Words, is this something that I could do hence my slim knowledge of developing ore do I need to call in dev-team.
