After updating these web.config changes (ref:https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/sharepoint/en-US/cea8a653-f805-4ff7-8407-1b89dadbfed2/sharepoint-cross-domain-issue-edge-browser?forum=sharepointdevelopment), when we open any document from the respective web app in client applications the documents are opening in read only mode. and we are not able to make changes to doc.
when we remove rewrite code in web.config, the things are normal and able to save back docs to lib.
please let me know if you come accross such issues.
