SharePoint document library returns an error when checking in a file, after writing comments and clicking OK. Error reads:
That unfortunately did not work.
Application is not completed! Please check the application!
The wording may be odd since it is translated from German.
This error was only reported when I added an updated InfoPath template to the library, setting it as default when adding 'new item'. This lead me to conclude that the InfoPath might be corrupted so I deleted all entries that used the new form/content type
also cleared recycle bin and 2nd stage recycle bin in order to remove the content type association with the document library but there is still an error.
Possible reasons that may cause an error at check in (based from similar cases in some forums): SQL or server C: drive running out of space, library exceeding quota. I checked those and all is looking fine. Also, the timing of the adding of new content type
and subsequent error suggests it might be the cause. I thought removing all traces of the faulty content type would be the solution but the error at check in still persists.
