How to view Append-Only Comments in Edit Form?

Hello,

most of the time the people use their view (where append-only comments are just a 'view entries' line of text) or they use the Edit-View. That means they don't see the comments (append-only column) that often.

That's why I have been asked to view the Comments in the Edit View above the comment text box.

I tried doing it via SharePoint Designer -> Forms -> change ControllMode="Edit" to Display. But that didn't work (that was just my first idea, maybe this works but a bit differently?)

Any other ideas how to view columns in the Edit mode?
