Element 'ListView' is not a known element. This can occur if there is a compilation error in the Web site, or the web.config file is missing in SharePoint UserControl

Hi,

I want to bind ListView Asp.net Control from SharePoint list item in Custom User Control. But when add Listview Control in User control its getting error "Element 'ListView' is not a known element. This can occur if there is a compilation error in the Web site, or the web.config file is missing." 

Can we use ListView control in Custom Usercontrol ?

Please suggest me how can i resolve this errors.
