Change column width programmatically

Hi,

I need to change the width of a library column programmatically. I have found a few blog posts that describe how to change it using JavaScript/jQuery/CSS. This is not what I need. The library is not a part of a custom page where I could inject a piece of JavaScript code.

Is there any way to do it in C#?
