I have been using video clips within my personal MySites Blog for several months by adding the Video Library within MySites. This has worked so well that management wants to expand (and therefore move my existing video content) to our Intranet (a separate Web Application). However, I'm to still continue to use video within my MySites Blog.
I try not to have multiple copies of the same material, so I moved a couple videos to the new location within the Intranet and they work fine if you use them within that specific Site Collection. However, I cannot access them in MySite Blog to insert them the way that I was able to do previously. I have tried to use the option of Address when inserting the video, but SharePoint returns a message "The selected media file is not supported and cannot be inserted."
Is there a way to use the video resources from the Intranet Web Application within my MySites Blog, or will I have to continue to upload the videos into both locations?
