Reaching out for some help, I've been trying for week, if not months (on and off) to find a solution on how to make a views created in a sub-site of a custom list available to various other sites within the same container. I've tried a variety of solutions to no avail. The specifics of what I'm trying to accomplish is to
1. Create a sub-site which contains a library of custom lists which are available to other sites within the contain. This site will contain the variables and various contents which will be referenced and/ or displayed in other sites - such as org charts, team goals, objectives and things that may be updated on a regular basis - but once updated, needs to be available to all sub-sites at the same time
2. For each of these custom list - such as the org chart, create various views, based upon the department which will need to reference the content; some of these people will be on multiple org chart; department views, but can be only need to be updated once in the sub-site, if the view can be made available in the other sites within the container
3. Display the contents from the Custom List view into Collaboration - Contacts Details WebPart for each site
If I can get assistance with making the contents of the custom list available to the other sites, so I can at least create a custom view, that would be a huge win. Any advise would be appreciated, thank you.
