I am not able to see Task list in add an app section ?

Hi Experts,

I am using SP2013 publishing site for my business purpose and have written custom page for home.

I have need to add Task list unfortunately I am not able to see ( in fact its not appearing in add an app section ).

I tried creating sub on the same root and succeed and able to add task list in sub site.

can anyone shed some light on this issue?
