Hi,
I have a bunch of Word documents with Quick Parts. The documents are uploaded to a library and quick parts are fed from list item columns (defined in a custom content type).
The problem is that the users are prompted for credentials (username and password) each and every time they open these Word documents. A standard prompt window shows up:
But it gets even worse. When the users provide their credentials, they are prompted second time with a different window:
How could I prevent SharePoint (or Word) from prompting the users to provide credentials? There should be no prompts as the users are already logged in to SharePoint.
I have tried to bing (or google ;) for an answer but the most common suggestion is not to use Kerberos. I'm using NTLM with claims based authentication so this advice does not apply to my problem.
