SharePoint 2013 - C# Application which is created using Server Object Model API & build with 3.5 .net framework throw exception to during load share point 2013 dll

when i run console application on SharePoint server 2013 which is build on 3.5 .net framework . it's throw exception - System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SharePoint, Version=15.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' or one of its dependencies.

So is it SharePoint 2013 Server Object model only support 4.5 & 4.0 framework build application .

any type of help appreciated
