This is a dev environment, SharePoint 2013, 3 tier small farm. It all started when i tried to change web application name and host header of the managed metadata. I also tried to change the host header of Managed Metadata web application from the IIS,
but i think i may have accidentally deleted the Application Pool (Shared Service Application Pool) from the IIS that Managed Metadata and User Profile Service Application were using. After this whenever i try to open MySite Newsfeed it gives unexpected error.
I deleted the Managed Metadata web application as well as the User Profile Service Application and recreated the User Profile Service Application. I deleted the User Profile Service Application again because the User Profile Service Application proxy
was missing as i was trying to use the same name, same Application name, and same Database names. I have recreated UPS, but since i was supposed to Configure Synchronization Connections first before starting the UPS synchronization, the UPS synchronization
is stuck on starting... Please help. What should i do?
