I have two systems set up Production and Development (Dev is a /site on the main site collection). On the development site I am seeing the content query web part. However, on the production site I am not seeing it.
On both sites the following are activated:
- Manage Site Features: SharePoint Server Publishing
- Site Collection Features: SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure
On the production site, I went into the web parts (under settings) and the Content Query web part is nto there. So, I downloaded the Content Query web part from the development site and uploaded it to the production site. When I did this I got the "Something
went wrong" error. But the Content Query web part did then appear int he list from the web part page.
I started using it, but it doesn't seem to be working correctly. For example, I did a query on both sites that were identical and the one on the production site does not generate any data. So, I'm wondering if something may be messed up with the web part
because of the "something went wrong" error.
