We are developing the HTML 5 phone gap mobile application which requires to download and open the .docx, .ppt and .pdf on mobile phones [android, ios]. Is this possible using SharePoint's cross domain REST library. If not what is the alternate.
I am able to use http://mysite/_api/web/GetFileByServerRelativeUrl('/Documents/test.docx')/$value REST API in Fire Fox REST Client and fetch the stream. I see raw data in response body. How do we consume it in HTML 5 phone gap application. i.e. actually show
this document in OpenOffice etc. Are there any samples? Any pointers? please need help urgently. We are currently trying to download this file on local SDCard so that we can pass INTENT to other extenal viewer application for opening this documents. We are
not able to download it. Can i use SharePoint's cross domain library (REST APIs) to download the file on Phonegap Mobile app[HTML 5] from SharePoint Document library??

I referred http://sharepointpromag.com/sharepoint-development/creating-cross-device-compatible-mobile-applications-integrate-sharepoint article which has code snippet to access sharepoint's list. It don't use SharePoint's cross domain library like mentioned
on this link : http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/SharePoint-2013-Get-items-7c27024f#content. What is the difference here??
