Creating BCS External Content Type in Public Facing Site SharePoint 2013 online

Hi,

I have created a bcs model and imported in the SharePoint 2013 online environment. I am able to create external list based on the external content type (bcs model) in my other sites (through add an app). However i dont see the option of creating external list in my Public Facing Site. 

Is this a know limitation in SharePoint 2013 online ?
