hi

One of the issues I have when working with my client is driving my fear and loathing of SharePoint,  is as follows

  1. I have  my Content Type Hub  https://cthub.domain.com in a HNSC.   I have a number of content types ct1 and ct2 etc which both inherit from Document
  2. Publish all Content Types to subscriber HNSCs
  3. I create an External List linked to a SQL view and sort out the permissions so that Everyone has readonly data access.
  4. I create a test Library in the Content Type hub HNSC and ensure  Ct1 is added
  5. I also add extc1 as an external column to my test lib..
  6. upload a document which is attached to Ct1 and I also input the key field from my external list
  7. All good!!!!!
  8. I navigate to another HNSC https://teamx.domain.com
  9. I then recreate my  External List with the BCS config as created in the step above
  10. Now I recreate the same test library  on  HNSC  https://teamx.domain.com  and add my external column extc1
  11. When I upload a test document and attach content type Ct1  I don't see my key field from external list in the properties edit form
  12. I change the attached content type to Document and there is my key field from my external listin the properties edit form
  13. All bad!!!!!
  14. What is going on!!!!!!

A this rate I can't use the teams HNSC so miss out on security etc which is  really annoying .  Any suggestions please

Daniel
