Creating an APP version of the Filter web part

Hello,

My client has the "Standard" version of SharePoint 2013.

Unfortunately, this means they don't have access to the Filter web parts (ex: Current User Filter Web Part, Text Filter Web Part, etc.).

I need to be able to filter a list view with values from the current user's user profile property.

Since I'm prohibited from create farm solutions, is there a way to recreate the "Current User Filter web part" as an APP? I can't see how you can recreate "connections" between a web part and an APP.
