Hi,
I have created a Sharepoint 2013 workflow for the users to "Publish" a document. The logic will populate various meta data fields and send emails. Finally I'd expected to find and call an Action "Publish Major Version on current item" . However, as in most things sharepoint, what I need doesn't exist. I have VS2012 and have read about building a custom activity. Not sure what ToolBox objects would accomplish this however and can't find any documentation.
In addition, if the item is checked out they can't start my workflow. A pop up appears and asks that it be checked in first. That defeats the purpose of this workflow. Does anyone have any step by step solutions to building this?
