Unable to delete items for users with contribute permissions

Hi All,

I have a event receivers which updates the list and deletes the items if certain fields are selected. Site collection admin can delete items through event receivers but other users with contribute permissions can't. It comes up with the below error

"<nativehr>0x80070005</nativehr><nativestack></nativestack>". 

This is a form library.
