Accessing Sharepoint 2013 online from MS Access 2003

Hi

We have a requirement to access sharepoint lists from MS Access 2003. We are using Sharepoint 2013 online. I heard that there is a compatibility issue in using Office 2003 with Sharepoint 2013. Is it correct? Is it not possible to access 2013 sharepoint lists from MS Access 2003?
