SharePoint 2013, SharePoint hosted apps and SNI

I am trying to set up an on premises SP2013 environment for SharePoint hosted apps using SNI. I am using IIS8 and Windows Server 2012 which supports SNI.

The key requirements are that:-

  • MySites is set to All Unassigned in IIS and Port 443 (SSL) with a host header of mysites.mydev.com
  • Share Site (an out of the box Team site) is set to All Unassigned in IIS and Port 443 (SSL) with a host header of myshare.mydev.com
  • I also have a third “listening” web application to handle the apps domain which I have created according to Mirjam’s article . MyApps is set to All Unassigned in IIS and Port 443 (SSL) with NO host header

MySites and Share have a corresponding SSL Certificate.

MyApps has a wildcard SSL certificate.

The issue is that I cannot whatever I try get either MySites and Share pointing at the correct certificate at the same time as MyApps points atits correct certificate, or vice versa. Additionally, it seems to me that MyApps cannot have SNI enabled without providing a host header.

There seems to me to be no key article which advises one how to set up SNI with SSL and SP 2013 in this regard.

I would be grateful for any help or advice and in particularly a step by step instruction as to how to achieve my goal. If I need to also change the hosts file on the server, or Central Administration, Security, Manage Trust and/or Windows MMC Certificates snap in to add, or CA Alternate Access Mappings I will need to know this too please.
