sharepoint 2013 workflows

Hello,

          I am new to SharePoint Development. I want to ask you that can I create the workflows in SharePoint 2013 for the below mentioned requirement

1. Application should preferably have the capability to develop Pictorial Workflow as Multiple departments during life cycle of the various stakeholders (students, training, placements) - for approvals.

What other components I have to use beside SharePoint 2013

Microsoft dynamics CRM?

SharePoint workflow interop?
