Please let me know 1 thing related to sharepoint version and site restoring

Dear all ,

My sharepoint version is (14.0.6029.1000) and client installed (14.0.6120.5005)

 I want to know can i restore my site at client location as my version is lower ?

If i want client should have same version as mine then what will have to do? downgrade?
