How do you maintain original dates in a powershell item creation?

I've created a powershell script the loops through one of my list looking for specific list items and when they are found it will create them in a new list copying the info in their fields. I thing I noticed is that it does not keep the original "Created" date. Does anyone know of a way to keep the original "Created" date?
