SharePoint "Groups" specific to subsite

Hi

 I created the  custom group(say Test) in SharePoint People and Groups gallery of sub site(sayhttp://servername/subsitename/). I want this group to be display only in created sub site  not to root site(sayhttp://servername/).I tried the Break Inheritance Permission option but couldn't meet the results. How to achieve this ?
