We're planning a migration to Sharepoint 2013 in the near future and we need to authenticate users against Active Directory and Peoplesoft. We need to allow users who do not have an AD account to login using an Employee ID from Peoplesoft. Users who would log into our Portal would need to register a Gmail or Windows Live account that ties to the Employee ID in Peoplesoft. Also, the idea is to also use roles from Peoplesoft to define security groups in SharePoint, not Active Directory.
With that said, is there any information out there on how we can accomplish these two authentication types? Furthermore, is there any documentation on how to achieve Peoplesoft integration to accomplish this requirement?
Is the Business Connectivity Services the right direction for what we need to do? I'd prefer not to use some other 3rd party tool to accomplish this.
