Unable to get multi selection checkboxes in search results

Hi

     Problem Scenario: I have requirement to add checkboxes for search results to select result items like list items but i am not understanding how it is possible through display templates or through coding.

     Problem Description: user will select multiple jobs postings results and click on apply button to apply his selected jobs and after applying and i want to add applied users to another list on apply button click. Kindly Let be know any solution regarding this.
