Huge security gap using MS Access and Sharepoint 2013

While publishing MS Access databases on web through sharepoint is very simple and friendly, there seems to be huge security gaps in terms of data security and data theft. Even if you have sharepoint assign site rights, the published access website allows any user to go to options on the header information of the application and then download entire database including tables, queries, forms and Macros. Once even one table is downloaded and if you have MS Access loaded on your computer, the entire database then synchronises with the web database. This happens even if you have given strictest access rights to the website including read only rights. We have not yet been able to find a solution around it and then this would mean that it is a huge security gap in Access sharepoint combination. Making it unusable. If anyone has found any solution to this, please share. Thanks......
